The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. My portrait of the avant-gard American composer John Cage (1912 - 1992).
5 September 2012 was the centenary of his birth.
The background of the portrait lists some of his more important works and the border is in the style of some of his manuscripts and artwork.
Besides composing music he was also a visual artist.
